Sweet Kisses

Alyssa loves to give kisses! Sometimes she gets in these moods where she'll go back and forth between Jake and I giving us kisses. It's so cute and sweet! She opens her mouth wide and makes and "AAAhhhh" sound. So sweet! She has also become very attached to her bear that she sleeps with. It now has to come out of bed with her. We're trying to get her to say bear and at times it really sounds like she's saying it. She is just getting so big and tricky!

Oh the trials!
This week has been quite a week. It started on Wednesday when Alyssa started throwing up and then had diarrhea. Between Wednesday and Thursday, she had pretty much gone through all the clothes she has.(I'm so thankful for a washer and dryer in my house!!) She did quit throwing up by Friday, but the diarrhea wasn't getting any better. So Saturday we took her to the Doctor and she was put on a clear liquids diet and then Sunday, the BRAT diet. Now I thought that we were doing pretty good about not gettin her too attatched to her bottle, but apparently weening her from it isn't going to be as easy as I thought. She only has 3-4oz bottles a day and usually doesn't even finish the. She has them when she is going down for naps and bedtime. SO getting her to sleep anytime had been a nightmare which usually ends in a drive around the block in the car. Plus she was just so whiny, like non-stop whining anytime I was in the room.
Well to top it all off, I ended up with the flu yesterday. Thank heaven it was Sunday and Jake was home. He tended Alyssa, who pretty much slept all day, and I slep all morning. I am feeling quite a bit better today. Still tired, but at least I don't ache all over. Yesterday afternoon, Jake thought he might be getting it. I told him it wasn't his turn yet cause I still felt way lousy, but he ended up being fine and still has contracted the nastiness. But he was such good help! Thanks Honey!

Alyssa and the Bear
I went into check on Alyssa tonight before I went to bed and she had her bear all cuddled up to her. It was so cute! She absolutley loves that bear. It is definantly one of the things you don't leave when you are going somewhere over night. This is also for Jake cause he's in Portland...taking boards tomorrow. Good luck Honey! WE love you!
I just have to tell the cute thing Alyssa did tonight. I was feeding her cereal and she was kind of clapping her hands. So I wanted her to do it more and if you sing a song with the word "clap" in it, she'll usually start clapping. Well the song that popped into my head to sing was "I'm so glad when Daddy comes home." I sing this song quite often when Jake gets home from work, so Alyssa started looking all around trying to see where he was. I was so cute, it almost made me cry. ( Not that it takes alot right now!!) But I just had to share!

Alyssa at Swimming lessons
Oh what fun!
This past week and a half have been so busy and so much fun! It started with Easter weekend when Jake's parents came and visited us and Johnathan and Becky. It was so fun to get together with all of them on Easter. The Saturday night before Easter we all went to Cirque Jungle Dreams. It was like a circus with Acrobats, swinging from the trapeze bar by their feet and lots of stacking people on top of people in crazy back breaking positions! It was so cool to watch and I would recommend it to anyone if it comes to a town near you!
So Jake's parents left on Sunday night. On Wedenesday, my parents and sister with two of her kids (Tanner couldn't come because of school and we missed him:)) came and stayed with us until the next Sunday. We went and saw the Oregon Trail, Register Rock, Fort Laramie and the Wyoming State Museum. It was fun and the the kids were so good. Then one day we went to Loveland, CO to the Outlet Mall. Shopping is always a good time, but I think Sherida, my sister, enjoyed it the most.... at least she racked up the highest bill!!!!! On Saturday we went and saw the Big Boy steam engine, then that afternoon we went swimming. The kids loved the pool! I have picutres of them, but I can't get them to download onto the blog....I'll have to work on that. They all left Sunday morning at 8 in the middle of a snow storm, and at 9:30, Jake, Alyssa and I loaded up the car headed to Burlington for Erin, Jake's niece's baptism. We stayed in Lovell until Tuesday morning, then rushed home to get Alyssa to her swimming lessons on time.
It was such a busy fun time and I'm so glad we were able to spend all that time with family!

Fun With Cousins!
Here are some pics of Alyssa playing with Britta and Maysen while they were here visiting! A funny story about Britta and Alyssa..... One night Britta was wearing Lyssa's duck slippers. Alyssa loves them, not to wear, just to play with. Well she just thought it was great that they were moving on Britta's feet. So she got hold of them and starting pulling on them so hard that she pulled Britta right onto her bum! It was so cute and funny!
