We had an eventful weekend. Saturday morning it seemed like Hallie was having some trouble breathing. I had Jake listen to her and we called the Dr. just to tell the symptoms and see if we needed to come in. They said yes, but our appointment wasn't for a while. So I put her down for a nap. When it was time to go, I went and picked her up out of bed and her breathing was even more labored and she felt warm. At the dr. she was totally lathargic and if me or Jake was holding her she was sleeping making little moaning noises. It was so sad! The doctor ordered a chest x-ray and after that she did a breathing treatment. The x-ray came back clean and the breathing treatment seemed to help. Oh yea...she had an ear infection on top of all that. So then we were sent to the hospital. She was a miseralble little girl until the fever finally broke in the middle of the night. We had to stay until Monday morning so that they could monitor her O2 levels. At the dr. they were 92 which is the low end of OK. They stayed up pretty much the whole time we were in the hospital. She never had to have Oxygen or IVs thank heaven!!She had a few more breathing treatments at the hospital. They decided to run a RSV test on her and it came back postive. They didn't think it was that at first because she has never had a really snotty nose.
Now she just acts like she has a nasty cold. She is raspy and coughs quite a bit but seems to maybe be wanting to eat a little bit more which has been a huge concern. Once again we have been truly blessed. It could have been so much worse!

Too Much Food Network??!!!
Alyssa has taken up cooking. She loves to get al the food out and pretend that she is cooking. This all started one night when I was watching Iron Chef. I thought it was cute. Isn't funny how you think all the simple silly things your kids do are just the cat's meow! That's the best part of being the parent!
Lookin' for Turkeys
Tonight we went for a drive to look for turkeys. Well, we didn't see any turkeys, but we saw alot of deer. Jake took this opportunity to start teaching Lyssie how to use the binoculars and look for the deer. She loved it! I thought this picture turned out just right!!
Sweet Sisters!

Today Jake and I were finishing up eating dinner and Lyssie had gone to play with her puzzle (her favorite thing to play right now). Jake and I were talking, not really paying attention to what Lyss was doing. We were quiet for a minute and realized that she was singing the Little Einstiens song. It was so cute with her just playing away totally oblivious to Jake recording her....I love these moments! Today had alot of them. Our drive looking for Turkeys was perfect! Beautiful evening, the hills the bright green color they are in the spring, Lyssie and Hallie were both being so happy riding, then when Jake was showing Lyss the deer with the binoculars and Lyss getting so excited to look for turkeys.....PERFECT!!!
And to end a perfect day was a perfect family prayer....It was Lyssie's turn and I was helping her.
Mom: Please help us look...
Lyssie: Please help us look for turkeys and deer.
Jake and I tried so hard not to laugh, but then it just came out! Kids are the BEST!!!

GO LYSSIE!
Lyssie just ended her first session of Gymnastics. It was a parent/tot class. Here is a few videos of her at her gymnastics show. I was a little worried that she wouldn't show her stuff because there were soooo many people there. But she total played it up! When she was waiting for other kids to go, she would dance around and loved it! It was alot of fun and she really did love going to her class.
So this is her doing her donkey kicks on the little tramploline. She is really good at these, she just didn't do it for very long.
Lyssie is doing the balance beam in this video. She is very good at it and most of the time she can do it without holding onto me if she will pay attention to her feet.
