So Much Change!

Well, I need to keep track of my life and I guess I feel the need to let y'all keep track too! So here we go.
~ The end of April we loaded up the Uhaul and hauled our lives to Cody, WY. We had bought our house 1 year earlier and of course nervous.....and very sad...... to sell it. BUt we were blessed beyond belief and it got 2 offers on it in the first week on the market and the first people to come and see it were actually the ones who bought it. Plus we got such a good price on it when we bought it that we were able to break even. So here we are in Cody. Jake is working in a private practice now and really liking it. The weather is really nice for summer compared to the outrageous heat that is going on in WA right now. I won't complain too much about our near 90 today. Some things that I am loving about Cody: 1- The library is awesome!!!! They have the best summer reading program that the kids read and do activities to earn tickets which they then can put into drawings for different prizes....like awesome prizes and there are A LOT! 2- Our ward does fitness classes 2 days a week, and one of them is Zumba... my new found love! 3- It's fun to get to see family on a fairly regular basis....Plus we are closer to mine.
We are excited to be here and can't wait to have a place of our own again here.
~ We had my family reunion this last weekend and it was fabulous. We went to Glacier National PArk and rented a house big enough for all of us in Columbia Falls. The house was awesome! It was roomy and had a beautiful yard. It was nestled up in the trees outside of Columbia Falls. The kids played outside basically anytime we were at the house. It had a pond with a waterfall so they would "fish" with sticks in the pond. Then on the last night we were there, at just about dark, a neighbor came over and told us that he had watched a grizzly walk from his back yard and was heading toward our house. ANd that there had been another one pass through earlier in the day.. Holy Freaky! Our kids had been playing outside the whole time we'd been there with not  a whole lot of supervision!!!! BUt it was a good time! The WHOLE family was there too! Rhett was in the states on business for the month of June and was able to take some time off and come too!
~ We are traveling it up this summer....June started with a trip to Idaho, just me and the kids, Then it was just my reunion, and next week is Jake's reunion in Bear Lake. Jake also has the 5th off so maybe we'll leave early! I'm sad it's already July though. I don't want to go back to real life!

" I Don't Like My Talking"

On our trip to WY this last week, we were going up a pass and Hallie started talking about the way she was talking and that she didn't like it. We were kind of confused for a minute. Then we started down and she said " There....do I sound better?" We realized that she was talking about her ears being plugged..... Back track. Hallie has had tubes in her ears since she was a year old so she has never had to deal with and feel what plugged ears feel like! It was a totally new experience for her. She had an appointment to get her ears checked a couple of days after our trip and I was totally expecting him to tell me that they were out, but they aren't yet. He did say that they are starting to move out and that is probably why they were plugging. It was so cute how she described it.....not liking her talking.

Also on that trip we were so lucky to have a DVD player and Baby Mozart. Dane LOVED watching it and I want to invest in more of the Baby Enstien movies. I got this one for Dane's baby shower. He was so cute watching them too.....he would get so excited and start kicking his legs and waving his arms. He is all boy. He loves loud machines like the rotatiller for instance. We'll go out and watch Jake work on the yard with it and he gets so excited. Just a fun little man!

Today Alyssa and Hallie were playing on our pile of rock in our front yard.....that needs moved to the back yard.....and Lyss was being super bossy to Hallie (like always) and I told her that they could both just do what they wanted and there didn't have to be so many rules. Alyssa says, " But I like rules mom!" She is a very structured girl. SHe later told me that there are rules for everything. I'm not sure where she gets that from???!!!!

Ohio

The other day Alyssa was reading me  "Johnny Appleseed" and it kept talking about him walking along the Ohio. So about the third time she read this, I asked her if she knew what the Ohio was. She looked at me and said, " It's a river." I have to admit I was slightly taken back that she knew what they were talking about. I asked her if she just knew that or if she had looked at the picture. Her response, " Well since I'm only 5 and just in Kindergarten, I looked at the picture." It was so funny I busted up laughing. She said it so matter- of -factly and like it was the silliest question in the world.....which it probably was!

She is just amazing! She wants to learn so much. We just went on a trip to Wyoming and some of her favorite entertainment was me giving her addition or subtraction or MULTIPLICATION problems and also me giving her the letters to words and she would figure out what the spell. It is so much fun to see her progress!

Some Picture-less up dates

So for the last month we have been chillin'.
Some things going on with my littles:

Alyssa: -She is in gymnastics and loves it and is getting so good at cartwheels and everything else. It's a lot of fun to watch her!
-She has 2 loose teeth! Her first ones! She is thrilled and can't wait for them to fall out so the tooth fairy can come.
- She is also cutting a molar.....kinda funny stage, growing teeth and losing them!
- She has kind of discovered boys and has one boy in her class that she talks about quite a bit. I don't think she should grow up anymore!

Hallie: -She is such a silly girl. A funny story about her....one night Jake was doing the disappering coin trick that suddenly appears out from behind the on-lookers ears or in their hair or anywhere! So Jake did it a few times and then Alyssa wanted to do it. So she made everyone look away and hid it under a cup. Then it was Hallie's turn to make it disappear. So she took it and squoze it in her hands as hard as she could. She did this for a while, concentrating as hard as she could. I finally asked her what she was doing and she slowly peeks into her hands and says "It won't disappear." It was just the sweetest cutest thing!
-She is also in gymnastics and is fairly fearless. Alyssa uses more caution, but Hallie is full bore!
- She is pretty rough with Dane! I don't remember having to talk to Alyssa so much about being careful with Hallie. Different kid for sure.

Dane: -Dane started crawling for real this week! It is definantly different having to really pay attention to a baby again!
-He is cutting his two front top teeth now and holy moly are they honkers! Last week he had every teething symtom in the book!...wouldn't eat, was an absolute beast, didn't sleep well, fever, runny nose....it was a nightmare!
-He gives me kisses. He'll grab my hair and pull be in, put his little teeth soflty on me and then pull away. Even though it hurts (the hair) it is absolute sweet.
- He isn't the cuddliest kid, but last night he woke up at like 10 and just wanted to cuddle with me in bed, then fell right to sleep. I LOVED that.

Well that's about what we're up to. Jake has been working like crazzy  in our yard so we are ready to plant grass as soon as its warm enough. It sure will be nice when that project's done!

BOO BLOGGER!

So I am INSANELY frustrated with blogger. I tried to start a new blog so I can upload pictures again and in the sign up process you have to give them your cell number so they will send a verification code. I don't want my number just out there!...GRRRRR. So I am trying to figure out a new way to "journal" and have pics and share with our family and friends.
Anyway, a word update on our last week.....
~ It was such a long week! It wasn't bad or anything, just crazy long. I swear January has some time issue that slows the whole month down. But I have to say that at least I haven't gone into the January blues....It's just not my favorite month.
~Hallie did better with primary....I guess. She still cried, but one of the ladies in the presidency went to class with her and she was fine. She has Seperation from Alyssa Anxiety......SFAA.
~ Jake is still battling larengitis from the cold he got at the end of our vacation! So going to work and talking to people all day is a big chore.
~I am trying to get more organized in my house and I did work on a few small tasks.....not the desk in the office....-shudder-. I will have to have alot of energy the day I tackle that one. I keep searching for ways to get it organized.....something that will be easily kept up.
~Alyssa is so excited to be back at school with her friends. She, so far, knock on wood, pick a four leaf clover, whatever other good luck things people do, is the only on who's gotten the cold and hers is as bad as Jake's was. We recieved a truency letter from the school for missing those 2 days after Christmas break and I was fairly irritated about it.
I guess I may just have to put the pics on FB.....any other suggestions out there????

Happy New Year!

Well, I'm not sure what is up with my blog, but it won't give me the browse option when I try to upload pictures. Anyone???? BUt I want to write about our New Years and then when I figure it out, I will put the pics up!
We went to ND to visit my sisters! It was awesome and fabulous and fun and COLD! My sisters just kept saying that it was warm then.....15 degrees up from -15! So I guess in that aspect it was a heat wave! The kids did AMAZING on our 16 hour drive. And of course they had a BLAST playing with the cousins.
So now we get to get back to real life tomorrow. UGH. Routine will be nice though. I have made no New Year resolutions, but I feel so ambitious right now! I have so many things I want to do and make and organize and clean!
The girls went to their new classes today. Hallie is a sunbeam! and I'm not gonna lie, it didn't go perfect. I was very hopeful when she just went into the primary room and didn't cling to me. Then at the begining of Relief Society a member of the Primary presidency came and told me that Hallie was having a hard time. So I went out and she was clinging to the Primary preseident and didn't even want to come to me.....she wanted Alyssa. So sweet, right?! What we gathered later on tonight was that she was so sad that Alyssa had left her when she went to her class. She thought she was going to go with her. So anyway I handed Dane off to a sweet lady and I took Hallie to her class, which I felt so sorry for the teacher. I'm not gonna lie, the kids were a little out of control. So here's to hoping next week goes a little better for everyone. We have 8:30 church now. LOVE. I got to have a Sunday afternoon nap! I honestly can't even remember the last time that happened. It was glorious.
Well that's about what we been up to so hopefully I can get my pictures on here soon!
