Our Merry Christmas

Since Christmas is picture overload it gets its very own post.
This was Christmas Eve morning
Then the girls decided that Dane should be Mary and the bear is Jesus.
That afternoon, after Jake got done working, we went ice skating. I was going to go out on the ice too if Dane did fine in the carrier on Jake, but Iended up not, even though he was great! JAke plays Hockey 2 times a week so he is an awesome skater!.Hallie liked to go FAST!
 Dane liked ice skating
Lyssa was brave enough to go on her own and did great!
Even Hallie got brave enough to go by herself, but she mostly just wanted Jake to push her around FAST!
After dinner we did the Christmas story and watched Joy to the World. Then we opened our Christmas Eve box that had their pajamas from Grandma and Grandpa, a new movie, a book, and snacks for movie watching.
 Dane opening his pajamas
Oh man! I just love these girlies and they sure do love each other! After I got Dane in bed we watched our movie and had our snacks, then it was off to bed for the girls so Santa could come.
And come he did! He almost didn't have enough time with the lack of sleep that was going on in our house. Dane, after he went to bed, woke up and was up till midnight. THen Alyssa and HAllie came into our room at 3:30! Holy crap! So we told them they had to go bacck to bed until 6. So in their room they chatted and chatted until I went in to tell them that really they had to sleep. When I walked in they were both sittin up in bed watching the clock! By now it was 4:15. Alyssa informed me that time was going too slow. I told her it would go alot faster if she would just go back to sleep. They did. Then Dane woke up to eat again at 5:30. After I got him back in bed at 5:45, Alyssa was awake again. I am so serious about all of this. But anyway.....back to Christmas morning!
The girls asked Santa for wings.

Dane opening another present in his cute Christmas jammies that are basically too small now. (they are 12 MOnths!)
The girls got 3D sidewalk chalk so those are the glasses for it.
 MERRY CHRISTMAS!
Alyssa also got a new bike and since we don't so much get snow here she was able to go out and ride.....plus she rode it around the house!
Since Santa gave Lyss a new bike Hallie gets her old one, but Santa wanted to spice it up for her and put a basket it on it.
OUr Angel, Mary and this time, Joseph....with a cat!
We had such a nice, low key Christmas. We missed family, but it was fun to start our traditions! We went and played at the church with some friends then had pie with them that evening.

Some other things:
- Alyssa got her last cavity filled yesterday. YAY! THis one was so small they didn't even numb her. She just had the happy gas.
- Dane went in this morning to have a follow up on his ear infection, which isn't infected but there is still fluid. BUt they weighed him and measured him again and he has gained 13 oz and grew a 1/4 inch in 2 weeks! He is now over 22 lbs.
- We went to the Childrens Museum today. The girls had fun but man is it LAME!
- I have eaten more chocolate than anyone ever should. ugh!
So here we go into the new year!

Twas the Week Before Christmas......

One day the girls were "riding on boats" around the kitchen and they brought Dane into the action.

Dane has taken up counter-sitting. He loves to play with the mixer attatchments.

Alyssa had her Christmas program this week. I'm sure it was good....I was having a hard time seeing over the person in the middle recording the whole thing on THEIR I-PAD! GRRRRRR. Rude much? I think so. But anyway, I'll be done venting about it now. Alyssa in the second one from the right.
It was actually snowing for 20 or so minutes the other day....and blowing! But the girls were so excited they had to go out and play.
I saw this idea on Pintrest....you color on sandpaper, then iron it onto a shirt. We had some friends over and made shirts and it was a blast!
 Our little puppy!
Sorry this is sideways! I missed on the turning. I was trying to get a pic of Dane who is starting to get up on all fours! So exciting!
 TRICKS!
All dressed up ready for church. WOw. We make some cute kids.
He is so flingin' flangin' cute! I found white shirts at Kmart none the less... so I bought the next size too because it is so hard to find dress shirts for this little man and he grows out of them soooo fast.
The dashingly handsome men in my life
Alyssa got out of school for Christmas break last Wednesday and it has been a PARTY! I don't think I've actually made a real meal since then. We have watched Christmas movies and played with friends and eaten A LOT of junk! I can't believe tomorrow is Christmas Eve. This will be our first year staying in our own house for Christmas! We are really excited to start some of our own traditions. BUt we are also bummed to not get to spend time with the family. We sure will miss them. Merry Christmas Everyone!

Happy Birthday To ME! :)

I DEFINANTLY met my picture quota for the week! We just did so many fun things!
Monday night for FHE we decorated gingerbread houses. The girls LOVED it! I love that they are getting big enough to do these kinds of things!
 Workin' hard!
 Hallie's house
 Lyssie's house
FOr my birthday I was slightly spoiled and got a Kindle Fire. Well the girls love it! This is them having some electronic time that they earned. They are both playing Angry Birds. Hallie is playing on my phone. When I first showed them the game I said that they were angry birds. Hallie asked Why are they so angry????
Mr. D got shots on Thursday at his 6 month appointment. And we found out he has an ear infection. I would have never guessed. And look at his fat little thighs! DELISH. So his stats were: 21.7 lbs....off the chart, and 28 inches long.....95%. He is a big guy! And his first tooth popped through! So when you can see it good I'll get a pic! Things he is doing: He is already starting to throw fits if you take something away from him that he really wants, he is rolling over more, he scoots himself backwards, he is working on getting up on his knees, he started sitting up by himself around 5 months, he loves his solids....except peas! He hates them!
This was Saturday morning before we left for my birthday trip to Coeur d'Alene. I just love it when I get PERFECT pictures... all looking, all smiling!
So this trip  was AMAZING!  Our friends lived up there so we got to stay with them and hang out with them. So much fun! We hadn't seen them in like a year and a half and we just picked up where we left off.... like we had just seen them last week.
On CDA lake they have these cruise boats. For Christmas they take you across the lake to the North Pole where Santa is. So we went and did that with our friends! It could not have been more perfect. As we were getting on the boat it started to snow and it was GORGEOUS! When we got over to the North Pole, Santa read off the good list, which included all the kids on the boat.....he's good!! Alyssa was soooooo excited that he said her name! The whole thing was just so magical and fun. I was so happy that I was almost on the verge of tears....such happy tears!
Before the boat ride we went and had desert at nice resturaunt there on the dock. I got a Huckleberry Cobbler that was to die for. Seriously so good. This is Alyssa dirt desert....choc ice cream with gummy creatures in it. It was the size of her head! She said next time she just wanted an ice cream cone like Hallie because it was too big.
All those cute little kids on the boat waiting for it to take off. As we were getting on Hallie said to Jake, " is this the polar express train?" Jake told her it was the polar express boat. She says such funny things sometimes!
 What a hunk!
Dane fell asleep shortly after this pic was taken....thank heavens since it was 9:30!
There's Santa and his elf Peppermint Stick. It was so fun I can't even get over it!

On our way home this morning sportin their Burger King crowns.
I wanted rainbow chip cake and frosting.....YUM. I took cupcake to share with my Sunday school class.
So this Burger King we went to was AWESOME. In CDA. Kids 12 and younger get a free kiddie cone and they get to go in the kitchen and help make it! THe guy helping Hallie is actually the owner. He was super nice.
I am just so happy with where I am at in my life! I have an amazing husband who is so supportive of me and works hard so I can be home with my littles! My kids make everyday exciting and exhausting and worth getting up everyday. I love my family with all my heart! NOthing makes me happier!

Here we Are!

Here I am! Keeping my goal for at least 1 week!

Since Alyssa has been in school, I have been able to get Hallie to take naps again! AWESOMENESS! She is definantly my sleeper!
This is just a cute fat man. Man he is delicious and his thighs are HUGE! He already loves to wrestle with dad. They were going to town tonight!
This is their new trick. I signed both of them up for Gymnastics that will start in January.
Probably the best picture I'll ever get of all 3 of them! All looking, all smiling.....wow! Alyssa put her lunchbox on his arm like a purse and thought it was soooo funny! Other boys with 2 sisters have turn out fine, right?!!!
In their bal-la-lay outfit! That's how Hallie says it!
Our new games.....I saw this idea on pintrest and it was a hit with the girls....and Dane loves to watch. On the other side of the room me have a hopscotch.
Our elf came back this year! We have a book that he brings with him and it was left on the couch. The next morning Alyssa was the first one up and saw the book and kinda freaked out! Then for the first few days they would hesitate before they walked in any room, afraid that the elf was going to get them. Oh and Jake even let Alyssa touch it that first morning to show her that its just a toy....and yet she still believes that its real. Gullible? I Think so!
I went to an ugly sweater party! It was a blast! And my earings blink!!!!
Here's Alyssa at her gymnastics. I did tell her to tuck her shirt in, but she didn't think that was necessary. Next time it will happen. Period.
And that was our week in a nutshell. Things not pictured:
  • I went shopping in Tri-cities on Saturday.....Let's just say that I was very happy to drive back into Walla Walla where the traffic wasn't out of control! I am not used to so many people and staning in lines and waiting at traffic lights. I get annoyed when I go to Shopko and I can't just walk right up to the check outstand and pay! Alright I'm not that bad....but almost.
  • However, I did stand in a line for an hour and a half to sign the girls up for gymnastics. They are working on a better way, but until then I will stand in line.
  • Monday night we played Christmas Bingo....STAR.....it was a hit with the girls.
  • Jake sang in another concert Saturday night and then next Sunday they sing in all the wards.
  • Dane was an absolute wild man in church today! Then he layed on the floor and played for most of Sacrament meeting. He is getting VERY active.
