HOLY CRAP!!!!!!!
Last night I was making dinner. It was even a pretty nice dinner. I was trying a new chicken recipe, baked potatoes, rolls....the works. I first fried the chicken, then I put it in the oven to bake. When it was done, I took it out and set it on one of the burners.....the one that I had fried the chicken on. It sounded like the chicken was still cooking and I couldn't figure out what was going on. Then my hot pad started smoking and I realized the burner was still on. So I got the glass baking dish off of it and turned it off. I got one piece of chicken out and all of the sudden the baking dish EXPLODED!!! I'm not even joking! I have never seen anything like that before. But at least I had gotten one piece, the biggest piece, of chicken out before it happened! On the bright side...I didn't have to wash that dish! I did take a picture of it cause it was amazing, but something happened and it wouldn't show up on my computer. Bummer cause it was impressive!

Beware my friend! I still come across things in my kitchen and cooking that make me say "holy crap!" I'm glad everyone is OK. How was the surviving chicken?
