December

We had a great December! I really simplified this year....that's what I'm calling. Really I was probably just LAZY! But we still had a good time and memories made and new traditions created. So here are some highlights of what we did:
This is Lyssie's Christmas list for Santa. It was so fun that she actually had things that she wanted and with some spelling help she wrote her own list.

For my birthday we went to Portland. They have a Christmas ship parade on the rivers that run downtown there and I have wanted to go see them for about ummmmm......5 years now. Let me remind you that we lived there for 2 of those years and we never went! So this year we finally did it! It was short, but so fun and the girls really liked it too! We also went to OMSI because Jake has wanted to go there for ummmmm.....7 years and he lived there for 4!! THis picture if in the Childrens part of it. They of course loved it and probably would have stayed forever!
We ate at the Old Spaghetti Factory Downtown Portland right by one of the the rivers that the boats go on.They had lots of decorations and lights all around it.....very festive! There was a man making balloon creations in the resturaunt so the girls got a rudolph and a snowman.
Sweet girls snuggling in the chair!
We went to Jake's parents for Christmas. We left at 6 A.M from our house and made it there in 1 day! IT wasn't even too bad!
This is Grandma Patty reading stories with all the little girls!
Hallie won the nut gift this year! She got the nut in her mouth, then said MOm there's something in my mouth!.....It was in the pudding! She got a cool gum ball machine though!
Hallie with her new jammies on CHristmas Eve.
 Lyssie with her new Jammies
 All the Grandkids!
 Some of the boys!
Christmas MOrning!  LYssie got this from Hallie. THey were so cute...they were kinda hesitant at first, but then they dove in!
Hallie playing with the present that Lyss picked out all by herself for her.....a back pack of doll accesories!
We went bowling with everyone while we were there too. Lyss loved it and everyone was giving her turns!
Hallie was too quick for my action shot!
Fun times! We had a very low key New Years eve that involved buying a new sectional couch, reaaranging furniture for 2 hours trying to fit (it really looked alot smaller in the furniture store!), then putting it all back in the plastic and putting it in the garage! We took it back on monday.

Something cute that LYss said the other day:
She was watching Madagascar. When the animals get shipwrecked on the island and MArty is running around saying he's lost and yelling for everyone else Lyss says, " He needs to say a prayer!" She is learning something!

Hallie is working on potty training I guess. She must have decided over night that it would be a good idea so we'll see what happens!
