Alyssa has learned a new trick....thanks to Jake..... that I'm not sure is beneficial to any of us. She now knows how to climb out of her bed. As of yesterday it was only if there was a chair by her bed, but then we took the chair away when it was 10:30 at night and she wouldn't stay in her bed. Well, then she learned how to just climb out without the chair. Now while it is cute that she is sneaky about being out of bed, it is also not cute that she won't take a nap or go to bed without a fight. I just keep telling myself this is only a phase. But the phase that she would only take a nap if I held her in the rocking chair has lasted 2 months now. Oh well. At least she would still take a nap. No such luck today!
She has named her babies "baby Joseph." And she calls all of her babies boys. When we ask her what we should name our baby, she says "baby Joseph." One of our friends babies' name is Joseph. That is where she got that from. She really is a crack up sometimes.

None of my kids ever climbed out of their cribs. They just reached a point where they didn't want to be in there anymore. So we just put them into a twin bed. Hannah has 2 pillows. One horizontal that she sleeps on, one next to it, vertically on the edge of the bed to keep her from rolling out. It works well. Even though they can get out easier with the twin bed, they just had to learn that you stay in the bed. We have a strict no kids in the bed rule at our house. Anyway, that has worked well for us. Good luck with yours!
