I generally try and keep this a very up beat, positive blog, but I must vent even though I know there are so many worse things out there, this is what is bringing me grief and no sleep right now......
I is Hallie get with an ear infection that has caused her to throw up for 4 days now. So this is pretty bad in and of itself, but to top it all off......Well let me start a week and a half ago....
It started on a Saturday night around bedtime when Lyssie had....an upset stomache to put it nicely. It ran down her legs, onto the floor, on the rug....You get the point. So Jake put the clothes in the washer to rinse them out, trying not to throw up. We got the rest of it cleaned up, including a very traumatized Lyss, and went downstairs to hear the washer making a horible noise and burning electric smell filling the house. Great....at a poopy time like this it goes out. My WONDERFUL neighbor and friend was so nice to let me do a load in her washer. Kay, so how long could it possibly take to get a new washer through a landlord? Well when they're in POrtland for a few days that adds time, then when Home Depot doesn't have a next available delivery time for a week, that takes along time! ......Back to the begining.....
So here we sit with no washer and a Hallie that just can't seem to beat this rotten stomache that has come upon her. I have done, I can't even count how many, loads of laundry at my WONDERFUL neighbor and friends house......Did I mention how wonderful my Neighbor and friend is???!
The washer is supposed to be here Thurday so here's to hoping and praying that it really shows up!

OOh no- that is the worst- not being able to get rid of the puke and poo-- OOH I feel terrible for you-- to bad you don't live here- I have an extra set in my basement-- because one time-- during a time such as that- my washer did some fluke thing and didn't want to work--I found a used set on Craigslist the next day -- and keep them for emergencies!!
I am so glad you have good neighbors nearby too. It's so annoying that when things are bad, it is really bad! I am sorry she's still throwing up, I hope it gets better soon over there! Let me know if you want to switch weeks for ABC school or if you need me to do anything for ya!
I wish I could help Krista. It makes me so sad the girls are ill.Hallie has had such a difficult time with her ears.Trish had real problems and it took too long to get her tubes. She lost some hearing in one of her ears but she functions very well. She can still hear her kids cry, complain and say I Love You. A good washer and dryer are a must for a mother with small or big children. How blessed we are to have automatic washing machines. How would you like to use a scrub board? Ha! Wish I were there to hold my girls. Patty
