Bye Bye Binko!!!
So I'm not quite sure why it started getting called "BInko" but it is! To translate...Hallie is OFF THE BINK, BINKY, PACIFIER,....Whatever else it is called in houses all over the world! When she had an ear infection at Christmas and went to the Dr. in Idaho, well PA, she said that kids who have chronic ear infections need to go off the bink. THis was the first time we had ever heard this and she said it was text book! WE even had gone to an ear specialist and he didn't say anything about it! I have been slow in taking it away as that was Christmas and it is now the end of JAnuary, but she has slept THROUGH the night and a 2 1/2 hour nap today without it! So far she has actually been a better sleeper without it than with it.....shoulda done it months ago, although I don't hold my breath that this will be her normal sleeping habits! It's been a rough month for the little dear....first her bottle at the begining and the bink at the end.....maybe we should potty train her next month!

I hope her ears feel better and taking the binki away helps. She seems too young to me not to have her bottle. Isn't she just 6 months old?I guess we just don't see her enough.Can't wait for you to come.So grateful you post the pictures because we really enjoy them. Iguess we need to start using Skype. Love ya
It always seems like when one transition comes another is soon to follow; bottle, bink, etc. Such is life! I hope it helps her ears. I had never heard that either. Yay for her though for sleeping great without it!!! :)
I always cheer when the pacifier goes away, and secretly wish they still had it at times (grouchy baby at church, anyone?). Yay for her and you!
Woo Hoo! A definite need for celebration! I hope it continues to be smooth sailing. Good to know about the ear infections, of course I've never been lucky enough to have a kid who'll take the binki. Both have been finger suckers and you can't just "lose" a finger like you can the binki!
OOh tell me how to get rid of the bottle! Porter never had a bink-- But the bottle- i just cave!!!
